Tomatin 1993 125th Anniversary Single Cask

A very special Tomatin expression, released in 2022 to celebrate their 125th anniversary, this whisky is a must for lovers of the historic Highland distillery. Matured for just under thirty years, the liquid was laid down in 1993 in a cask similar to that which would have been used back in 1897, an Oloroso sherry cask. Presented at an impressive 57.3% abv. 

Expect aromas of coffee liqueur, flamed orange peel, caramel and walnut, with touches of pipe tobacco and eucalyptus. On the palate, we find massive sherry flavours, followed by waves of European oak spice, toffee and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, with herbal notes of assam tea and liquorice fading to more raisin and chocolate notes.
