The Cardrona Single Cask Release Old Forester Bourbon Cask

A truly unique expression from Cardrona released as part of their Growing Wings collection. This dram spent five years maturing in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled at a powerful 65.6% abv.

On the nose, there is dried fruit, spiced custard, toasted pecans, and fresh all-butter pastry. The palate is particularly creamy and nutty with vanilla, dried orange peel, and sugared almonds before leading into the warming and subtly spicy finish full of golden syrup, more vanilla, and toasted oak.
