Mars Komagatake Shinshu Aging 2021

Mars Komagatake is an intriguing single malt from Shinshu distillery. This is one of their limited edition yearly releases from 2021 and it does not disappoint. Bottled at 48% abv, this is delightful dram was matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. It is free from both chill filtration and artificial colouring.

The nose is fruity and full of malt. The palate is smooth with fresh honey and toasted hazelnuts before leading into the refined and slightly bitter finish.
