First Editions Mortlach 2010

First Edition, and first-rate. This collection to the First Editions range is a 2010 Mortlach single malt whisky. Aged in a single refill hogshead cask, this is an 11-year-old dram that was bottled in 2021. A yield of only 375 bottles, this expression was not treated with chill filtration, nor had any artificial colouration.

Bright, sweet aromas meet you on the nose, with summer fruit, vanilla, and caramel sauce. The palate is big, full, and stuffed with vanilla, toasted barley, and a little hint of vegetal oiliness. Expect a long, clean finish, with oaky dryness on the exit.
