An 18-year-old single malt from Bowmore Distillery, independently bottled by The Character of Islay Whisky Company for The Stories of Wind & Wave series. This expression was distilled in 2001 and aged for 18 years before being bottled at a cask strength 55.4% abv.
Baked apples and blackberries are autumnal on the nose, with a wisp of smoke. Tropical fruits are bright on the palate, alongside oaky notes, and sweet malted barley. A pinch of spice lingers in a soft finish.
