Caol Ila Distillers Edition Double Matured

With the 2021 edition being a firm The Whisky Shop customer favourite, we’re delighted to present a doubled matured 2022 edition of this Caol Ila Islay single malt from the Distillers Edition collection. Bottled at 43% abv, the liquid was initially matured in a combination of American and European oak casks and later transferred to ex-Moscatel wine casks for further maturation.

With a flavour profile crafted to reflect the intense, saturated colours of post-storm afternoon sunshine, the golden edition of Caol Ila is crisp and refined. The nose picks up scents of charred oak and stewed raisins and the taste is deep – a perfect balance between sweet and smoky notes that linger into the close.
